Vaporetti etc

My main painting concerns over the years have been to do with the built environment and Venice amply provides subjects of architectural appeal, but what stirred my imagination on my second visit there were the vaporetti, the efficient and reliable water-buses.

I found the idea so interesting that I have since extended it to the trams of Prague, trains in Mallorca and cars on Tyneside.
